Xth (SSC), HSC and Final Years of Graduation, are at the most critical juncture of life, it is important for a student to plan his career during these crucial years. Every year, till he completes is an investment for a career. And the investment has to yield positive results without confusion.
Every student stepping into these critical years brings with him or her series of expectations and aspirations about his career. While student invests heavily in time, money and effort with an expectation to build a long term career, the institution strives to build the student into a professional.
Students today are under tremendous pressure to succeed in academics, while academics
has its own importance, a series of expectations and aspirations about his long
term career emerge. The expectations of parents, neighbors, relatives, peers,
teachers and the society make an impact on the student’s decision in the most critical
years. Unfortunately the lack of information about careers has always been
an issue in choosing a career.
While the expectations and aspirations are on a higher side we have noticed that
the individual student actually doesn’t know what career to choose, how to plan
his career, and is generally guided through a strong parental, peer
and environmental influence that forces him/her to make career direction that may
or may not be the right choice.
Unfortunately what we miss is the students own expectation based on his interests,
abilities and personality. With dheya, we have made an effort to help the parents
and students understand his abilities, personality and interests, using reliable
psychological assessment tools. Using the results of these assessments
we suggest the most suitable careers for the student.
In addition we back-it up with a personalized counseling session and career
development workshops so the student is able to plan and build
a successful career.
Methodology:
The entire planning process has TWO parts. ONLINE ASSESSMENT
& Offline Career design and planning workshops/ one to one sessions.
The whole process would be in a form of using the personal assets from the assessment
of individual abilities, and personality pattern using validated tools on a web-based
platform. Post the assessment the student undergoes personal a career design planning
workshop /personalized of 4-8 hours.
At the end of the session /workshops the student gets a clarity about which career
to choose, Sets his goals and also plans a fool proof career with alternative route
to make it a success.
