Our Senior Career Mentors Usha Karimpanakkil & Rajini Menon conducted a career planning orientation and workshop for parents and students of class 9th and 10th of Presentation English Medium High School, Perinthalmanna, Malappuram Dist, Kerala.
This was meant to build awareness on why career planning is important in today’s world considering the rapid change in the world of work and for the children to be prepared for the future of work. It is important to plan for a ‘Happy Career’ for the child as they would be spending 10 hours per day for 40 years of their life doing the work that they chose to do. And to reach there each child invests 18 years into education and valuable resources.
The event was attended by over 150 students and 50 parents and teachers from the school.
The concept of career planning as Dheya does was new for this part of the country and saw a lot of questions from the parents and teachers.
This also is Dheya’s first step into Kerala and we look forward to building more and more Happy Careers!
