HOW TO CHOOSE A RIGHT CAREER
What is the Career?
The term career is often used to denote a profession, occupation or vocation. A career could define what you do for a living and range from those that require extensive training and education to those you can perform with only a high school diploma and a willingness to learn.
A career is a long-term career path that you can determine according to your passions, it is the path you take to reach your professional goals and ambitions.
A career might last for your entire life. You could fill many jobs under many employers in the industry of your choice as you progress throughout your career.
In short, I define career as…
A JOURNEY BETWEEN YOUR LEARNING TO YOUR EARNING.
How to choose the career:
I believe your career is in your hand, let’s draw your palm on a piece of paper…

Your palm, connected with five fingers, and together it become your POWER.
The first is thump, which indicates what your strength is, your skills you have acquired. This is the utmost important to underline your own skills before choosing your career.
These can be marketing/sales skills, creativity, people, data management skills etc. This can be related to your strength and verification from your proficiency/aptitude test.
The next one is your index, which indicates the Industry in which you are going to pursue your career. You need to know the size of the industry, the industry impact on the domestic and international market. The industry growing capacity and the trend or futuristic demand. If you choose the wrong industry, then you’re restricting your growth. For example, if you select the industry which has no future scope or not according to future trend then it will disappear over the period of time.
Then, the middle finger represents the company you are going to work for. You understand that your career is a long-term vision, so it’s very important to know the company you’re going to represent or work. Before selection, you must study the company’s market share in the particular industry, if it has a good holding in the market? Have the ability to grow annually? The company’s vision and mission statement give us an idea of the direction ofthe company.
Then come to your ring finger that portrays the relationship of management to their superior level and superior staff.
You must underestimate how the company treats executives and their growth from the grassroots. Equality of opportunity for everyone. Performance-driven or people-focused promotions.
Last but not least is your little finger, which shows how the company deals with personnel at ground level. It is very important to observe that everyone respects one another as a human being.
I can understand that in the selection of the career, you can’t understand the fourth and the last finger. But when we talk about the long-term career, you can surely study the first three fingers and while working with an Organization, you can observe remains things. This will assist you in choosing your long-term career within the Organization.
You have to move up the career ladder one block at a time. You can’t jump on top of it and miss those little blocks. Remember, at the top, you are exposed to your abilities as well as your irresponsibility.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
