Our master mentor Nitin Welde is a retired Group Captain from Indian Air Force. As a pilot in the Indian Air Force, he has more than 5000 hours on five different types of helicopter and aeroplanes. He has served in North East India, Siachen Glacier and actively participated in the Kargil War. He is a master instructor of Air Force and has trained cadets, officers and instructors. He was deputed by Government of India as Team Leader for a training team to Namibia. He also represented India in a leadership course in Indonesia. He was adjudged ‘Best Foreign Officer’ amongst 22 officers from 14 different countries. Nitin Welde has been awarded a ‘Gallantry Award by President of India’ in 2012 for a life-saving mission in Jammu and Kashmir. He commanded a frontline combat-ready helicopter unit in Delhi area & has experience in leading teams in disaster relief operations such as Uttarakhand floods and Srinagar floods.
Prior to entering Air Force, Nitin completed his graduation from Pune. He represented India in Youth Exchange Program to the United Kingdom through NCC, India. He stood all over India First in Combined Defence Services exam in 1992 and was commissioned in Indian Air Force in 1994.
Nitin is very passionate about behavioral training and is a leadership trainer and coach. He is a member of International Association of Facilitators and Applied Improv Network, both organisations are world bodies in training and facilitation. He regularly conducts training interventions on leadership, team bonding and conflict management.
